The model I got was "rough." It will need some trimming and some putty. I expect this. Once upon a time I bought plaster of paris molds into which I poured molten lead. I shared a plumbers melting pot with a friend.
When I think now how many EPA and OSHA rules I broke with this, it's a wonder I survived. Well, there was no EPA then, and OSHA was busy elsewhere.
Now I have a 3D printer with 50 micron (0.05mm) resolution. (Yes, I am working on 18mm infantry, French (ribbet) mostly.) My total lack of talent makes my progress slow.
I expect to have to trim a model, to make things fit, etc. It's part of the hobby to me.
