Two Hour Wargames, who produces the 5150 rules series is making a new game called Bugwars. It looks like lots of fun - but for us, the importance is that achesoncreations.com is doing both the miniatures AND Tunnels for the game. These make great looking tunnels for small skirmish actions inside a Redoubt and will provide lots of fun from such scenarios. In addition, they're making covers for the tunnels - which allows for the Martian player to mask his forces and setups until a human unit (with light!) is in said tunnel. I'm really excited about this as you all know, I've been interested in doing small unit incursions into Redoubts for some time (further inspired by scotts latest book as well). Though the GeoHex sit ups would work well, the modular setup of Achesons is superior for all kinds of things including range calculations and lighting situations. I could also see a 'campaign' style working, using the GeoHex for tracking strategic situations and the Acheson pieces for the actual tactical battles. Depending on how expansive a Redoubts 'hive' would be, this could become a whole mini campaign with in the game, fighting tabletop to secure the redoubt and redoubt 'running' to flush out the monsters. Mad indeed...
PS why isn't Acheson Creations on the vendors list for terrain??

Thanks for the tip Mad. I will have to check these out. I have been looking for a long time for a way to do tunnel combat like for Starship Troopers that was not too abstracted. And the idea of sending doughboys into Martian tunnels is a great scenario ideal!

FWIW:
Rainn Studios makes a set of "TerraTiles" called Caverns, Tundras & Wastelands - Modular Tabletop Terrain. These are big cardboard hexagons that can be arranged to form a battlefield.
This set has some tiles desginated as caverns, but also has some frozen rivers that will work for caverns, too. There are also a bunch of devastated, crated terrain that could be the interior surface of a holdfast after it has been well and truly shelled.
