The MKIIc-1 is an early conversion of a MKII steamer tank with provisions to carry communications equipment to allow an otherwise exposed commander to lead the way in battle. Equipped with both semaphore flags and an experimental compact Marconi wireless telegraph, the C1s had several disadvantages that were rectified in later models. Due to the size of the Marconi device, the steamer lacked the room for two crew members otherwise present in the standard tank. Also, the fragile nature of the device led to the radios being damaged by the mere vibration of the tracks. Most officers using the MkIIc-1s would, by default, communicate with the signal flags which could be lowered to allow traversing through power line-ridden cities and winding forests alike (One of the few features NOT carried over to later tanks). Lack of visibility, room for commanding units and poor ergonomics were all improved in the later MkIIc and MkIVc command vehicles. I'll be honest, I just made this because I like the low profile of the MkII tanks more than the MkIII style

Nice job and a good rationale to explain it.
The lower profile will make it harder for Martians to spot and target, especially when in a gaggle of other steamers. Much more survivable than the towering command vehicles.

Love it since I like the MKII design better than the MkIII.

What did you use for the raised turret if I may ask?

Very nice. I love the fold down signal mast.

The folding mast is awesome.
One thing I keep trying to remind recovering warhammer players: The duty of a commander is to command, not to fight. A MkII will have he space for a commander and communication equipment, and be able to keep up with the other tanks. It's a great idea.
In game terms, a command tank is a great thing for rallying routed units. (FRONT: TOWARD ENEMY)
I love it.

What did you use for the raised turret if I may ask? I actually carved up an extra gun turret and inverted it!

Inspiring work and rationale. The added advantage of low profile and difference from the 'standard' command tank makes this a very nice alternative. Ty. One question - was the forward gun serviceable?? Was it crewed and could fire?? thanks again.

For simplicity's sake, this variant operates exactly the same as the standard MkIIc from a gameplay perspective, so yes, it is crewed.
