I picked up some of Blue Moon's the Night Chicago Died figures and thought I should pass on the info to my friends here to check them out. I do not have a cell phone so can not post pictures but the Blue Moon site does have great pictures of the figures. I picked up the Police pack ( Great to cops to help the troops defend cities) the citizens to add more spice to my fleeing civilians and the gangsters for I thought what the hell, lets have some armed civilians that want to go down fighting instead of just running away and getting harvested. I passed on the G Men for the FBI was still unarmed at this point in history. Check them out folks. I was really impressed with the Coppers.

Yes I have some of those. My British North African force is made up of Blue Moon Sudan range and Arabs from the France Foreign Legion Range. You will also notice that the Bedouin and Egyptians that Ironclad games sell as part of the BEF are actually Blue Moon figures sold under licence.

Well, since the whole AQMF is an alternate history timeline, there is not much problem letting the Feds arm up early. Melvin Purvis and his boys would not likely resist getting and using some serious hardware. If you like how they look, use 'em.

The G-men make good armed civilians. Are the castings as good as they look on the 0ld Glory site?

I, too, found the whole of the Blue Moon lines to be great as they were the figures used by Alien back when for their packs. Don't overlook some of the earlier period stuff as the ACW snipers are cool. Paint in grays to blend with tree trucks/branches. Add to the French Foreign Legion, the various Apache, etc. Indian figures (mounted and foot), the Mexicans, even civilian lines from the period work. Don't overlook the various wagon sets, including the excel ambulance/surgery ACW field hospital. If you use my militia Whitworth anti-tripod guns, the various Renaiss. period horse teams come into play as well as the numerous carts (water cart for example). Some of these would be only be used in second-line units and militias, but, then the Martians would sometimes break through the front line. A final note is to check out the True North figures as well. They have lots of different armies as well as a small list of heavy weapons that would play well. See my various TO&Es for the use of these. Unfortunately the GDW figures aren't sized to scale for AQ - but, the fellows in foxholes (particularly the Brits with their helmet style) look fine and give you some bazooka firers to boot!
