After reading about the US 5th Army fighting in Italy during WW2 I noticed some photos of German pillboxes that were Panther turrets. It got me to thinking about all those Mk III steam tank turrets taking up space in my spares parts box. So, now I have some pillboxes to beef up my trenches. Some have machine guns and some have 4 inch guns. If I had a cell phone I would post pictures but no such luck. I figured I would pass on the info to you folks but I bet some of you already figured it out your selves and already have these pillboxes on your tables.

Yes there should be some threads and photos of ones incorporated into trench lines that people have done. I am sure Scott has done some.

It was once suggested that Alien Dungeon sell the sprues that had the "casement" that made a MkIII different from a MkII. These make excellent static defences.

Either way, every kit has a lot of potential for use of most of its parts one way or another. The pool of folks on this forum are sure to find more over time.

It is hard to justify buying a kit for a few parts. Using what I have is another matter. Scott's paper bunkers look good. His paper trenches are great.

Thats the thing, if you make yourself a mark II steamer tank, then you have extra pieces left over to make wall turrets and such.
