given the back ground fluff where the Aussie's seem to have been wiped out maybe it wound be a good idea to rewrite that bit , there is strong a gaming community down there (ok I'm a brit ) and off hand the history says they got taken out before the chance to field tanks and so on ? it might help the game gain traction if the history allowed them to fight on home soil
as a note I recall there is a mountain range along the east coast which might make a defence possible
ROFL (tears) More serious note, I'm not so sure the Aussies would survive, but, I'm willing to accept it on faith in their determination. I've insured their continued fighting with my various S2G and other setups in TO&Es and OOBs. They kick a.. here in the states. A tribute to the ANZAC forces... BTW USA entered the war in France on this past 13 July - the Yanks are here!
There is a major British Naval Base in Singapore and Hong Kong. I am very confident that Aussies will fight just as the Native Americans are fighting. Games of 200 to 300 points. I have a vision of Aussies dancing around a bonfire while a cauldron made of a tripod head bubbles. OI!
Oh cool glad you like the idea I was worried about the idea given the somewhat big change in the history timeline but maybe if might make a reprint of the rule book if the writers feel it's a good enough idea , for some reason I have always found games more fun when at some point you have to defend home ground Thanks
Is there a City in Australia that could easily be walled off? A port that can hold out behind a concrete wall or a "Maginot Line?" Texas is technically behind Martian lines. The Martians do not play by human rules. No matter. Humans don't always play by human rules all the time either.
