Nice work. That creates some really ominous looking tripods.ts
Did you use some kind of eyelets as bases for the spikes?

Hallo Boxholder, Thank you for your feedback Actually I did not use the eyelets, I used toothpicks instead. I know it sounds weird . What I have done, I did put a hole manually using a small sewing pick that I borrowed from my wife, then gently use the sewing pick pointing the surface of the Martian canopy to the area, gently pressed it until it's punched a hole (not too strong but gently. if it's too strong, it can break the surface). Once I created a hole, Then I inserted the toothpick from inside of the canopy, the sharp point of the toothpick should be appeared on the top. Next I trimmed short the toothpick. So I repeated the same way until all surface appeared full of spikes, then voila! It's easy Sure you can do that too

I asked because it looks like there is a rim around the bottom of the spikes where they exit the carapace. It looks like you had bored the holes, then inserted a small metal eyelet and glued in the toothpick.
Thanks for the reply,

Thanks for the reply, Ah I see...I used a marker to make a dot..so that's why it has a dark black rim once I made a hole on it So yes, then once I created the hole then I fitted in with toothpick

Great work, scary looking squad Thank you, Quendil. Yes I think they are scary They are small, fast, agile and good in Melee...they can ambush and wreck any armoured vehicles in a short time

Needless to say, the human forces have called this horror Crab Tripod. With all this work, you have to get a list of stats out for those of us (not me I'm terrible at modeling) who might attempt to model along your lines.

Crab Tripod @160/element @480/unit of 3 Speed 10" Defense 6 Armor 10 Special: Causes -2 to all Morale Rolls taken within 6". Weapons: Medium Heat Ray Rng 20"/10" Pow +3/+2 Special - Sweep; (2) Reaper Claws assault at +5 Pow; @5 - Targeter Rng 30" +3 to hit for 'artillery' and missiles. I think this covers it. Note that Courageous units will do the best against this beast.

Thank you so much Madmorgan for the stats I will keep them as part of my gaming rules A few more accessories to be touched up and painting then the game is on . Also I like to have human forces to give 'em 'Crab' tripod just like you mentioned. Similar to NATO giving a code name to the Eastern Bloc's MiG-17 as a 'Fresco'.
