I recall some discussion about using explosive tanks in the game, which seems like a reasonable idea. I was wondering what I could use to represent one and found a good candidate on the weekend. I've been selling off a large 40K collection and while going through boxes found a pair of 'Cyclops' remote control explosive tanks made by Forge World in the UK. They're 1-piece resin castings with about 1/2 the volume of a Mk II steamer, a nicely detailed gas motor at the rear, rhomboidal track design and would be big enough to hold a driver (who would bail at the last moment if there was no form of remote control). They look very good side by side with the plastic AQ tanks and even better next to the S2G tanks.
Does anyone have a proposed set of rules for explosive tanks?

I did rule for a Clamper loaded with explosives some where. Give me a few and I'll repost them here for you. Of coarse no clamper element but you can use what you need and fix them up for your own.

I've looked everywhere for the dang thing and all I remember is that it was a "Clamper B" design with the crew clamping then hitting the timed fuse before bailing. I even had a roll for the crews survival. I think I treated the blast as a Barrage 4 +4 Power attack. Sorry about not being able to find the specifics.

I won't have time to take photos for a few days. Go to the Forge World on-line store and look in the Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum section. I think it's in Accessories.

All I plan to do to convert the Forge World Cyclops for AQ is add an access hatch for the driver where the numeral '2' is on the side of the tank. The Cyclops looks fine next to AQ and S2G tanks and infantry.

That is a simple conversion for AQMF!!!!
Thanks so much for posting the pictures!

Ty - that's a great to AQ. I'll pick up 3 to use as very fast tracked one Forward Observer vehicles. Maybe add a regular MG to that front plate as well. FO drives up, calls in artillery, and uses the MG if drone types get too close. Does anyone know the rough difference between mileage on gasoline and diesel fuel? I seem to recall that diesel gets better long range mileage, which is why so many trucks use it for hauling both short and long distances here in the states.
