G’day once again from the Slave Dungeon, Today we announce the release of two new Units for our Dark World War range. The British receive the Scottish Highlander “Black Watch” Assault units. While the Prussian Army receive their own shock troops in the form of the Stoßtruppen ("Shock troops" or "Thrust Troops"). These figures have been beautifully handcrafted by Mike Broadbent, expanding the British and Prussian Dark World War ranges to quiet a nice number of different units. Both Highlanders and Stoßtruppen come with a Flamer Attachment and Jump pack Upgrades. I’ve attached a picture below of the Highlanders that have been converted to show them jumping, the photo doesn’t do it justice (they do not come this way however, it’s only a conversion). These figures are now available from our Slave 2 Gaming webstore Here: www.slave2gaming.comOr you can contact us via email on slavemaster@slave2gaming.com

I expect my (early) order of Highlanders to arrive in the next 2-3 weeks. I bought 2 packs and got Drew to include 3 officers and 3 bagpipers so I could make three 10-man Assault units. These guys will be transported in Cardigan Carriers, or in 6 of the S2G Light Transport tanks (1 element per tank vs 2 elements for the Cardigans) if used in the Canadian force, which like the British army would have several Highland battlions.

Egads, what a great addition to your line! Obviously, I have to revisit my flamethrower teams and make some adjustments for the new flamer. Morale for the Scots is easy - Courageous as long as the Command stand is alive (with the piper of coarse), then drops to Elan (+1 on Morale Rolls) if the piper gets 'bagged'. I've already given you my 2 cents on the jump packs (= more potent Forlorn Hopes) as I assume that the packs only have enough fuel for one launch. Great stuff guys!

I must assume that Scots with gas masks wear "other protective gear" for the delicates.

How did you make the smoke trails for the smoke on the flight pack?? They are really impressive.

Thanks Morgan, I've just put up the ideas that we had discussed (plus a few ideas that I'd had since) in the General rules section for discussion. David, The Scots should always get a chance to scare the enemy with the fall from the sky! Mike and I had a good laugh about how you could do this when I first proposed them. Hardlec, I believe they used to wear a stocking like material, so that gasses that affected damp areas wouldn't be affected. Boxholder, I used pipe cleaners. - Find some wide pipe cleaners (mine went from thin to thick and back to thin again), cut them to a shape that you want.
- Drill into the jump pack, fit in two pipe cleaners.
- Fit them to the base, I put a lump of Milliput on the bases & drilled into this.
- paint pipe cleaners with PVC glue, you'll need lots of layers but dont do it too thick each time or it will run down and pool at the base.
- I ended up using 4 layers (just because I ran out of time), but it would do better with more layers.
Here's a pic of the whole unit, It wasn't deemed fit by the Artistic director! (my wife:D)

My Highlander order arrived yesterday, taking only 11 days from Australia. The figures are excellent: good poses, tiny amount of flash. They're a match in size for the American AQ troops so will fit in perfectly with my Canadian force. They're smaller than the BEF infantry, which are closer to 20mm scale than 18mm, but will be in separate units so it won't be noticable when they're used in the BEF force. Great job S2G, now I've got my Assault Infantry!
Also received were 3 S2G Light Transport tanks with extra bits on top. These are the towing vehicles for my 1 pdr coil gun conversions. The guns don't have integral generating equipment like the 2 pdrs so the generators are on the tanks. To represent that I bought 3 of the large electrical units from S2G's Faraday tank kit to install 1 on top of each tank. Because the standard exhaust can't be used with those units I bought 3 of the new vertical exhausts. The extra bits are well detailed and nicely cast.
The Highland infantry were glued to their bases last night and the basing material will be added today. What tartan to use??

Thanks. Nice work. Perhaps the art director is being a bit harsh. These are really unexpected troops and look good.
Might benefit from a bit of gray or black wash in the recesses to kick up the contrast and take the edge off the white. Disregard previous sentence. It appears that some (further above) have had that treatment,

I'll have to get some to add weight to my US Cavalry order.
