G’day once again from the Slave dungeon, This week we see the release of the upgrades for the Slave 2 Gaming 18mm British Tanks, these are a part of our Dark World War range. This expands the range from the current 4 British Tank designs (two MK II’s and two Mk III’s), adding another 15 different designs (5 new Mk II’s, 5 Mk III’s and 5 of the new Mk IV’s). There are 8 different upgrades, all of which fit the current British resin hull. We also see the release of the Mk IV sponson, this allows two weapons per side. The plan of these upgrades was to continue to move the Dark World War further into the Alternate WW1 direction. With this in mind, there is some interesting new ideas, how about the Flamer Tank, or the “Faraday” Electric Arc Cannon. Please forgive the paint jobs! Although these tanks have been made for the future release of the Dark World War rules “Trench Storm Reloaded,” they are quite adaptable to All Quiet on the Martian Front, or even Flames of War WW1. These figures are available here: Dark World War BritishYou can also contact us via email here: slavemaster@slave2gaming.com Let us know what you think.

Absolutely smashing! I posted to you ref your question. Considering its size, I'll find you the listing for the German 'artillery' mortar I have somewhere. See my post on German troop weapon or Infantry Weapons elsewhere if you can't wait. Feel free to reprint my discussion with you all as a thread for these new additions - Love the Tesla !! In fact, they all are brilliant!

I may custom order some Mk IVs with 5 MGs aboard and use them like the Mk II steamer infantry support variant, but costing 10 pts. more for the 5th MG. Tempted by the mortar variant too but we have no rules for them yet. I'd like to see what Madmorgan came up with for stationary mortar stats (i.e. heavy trench mortars). The S2G tank mounted version looks a bit bigger in caliber than the Blue Moon heavy trench mortar.

I think I agree, see the listing for the German "artillery mortar" in my Infantry Weapons and German army faction posts. I posted all my ideas for the new range to S2G and they'll be putting it up soon. Once I can order the pieces, I'll compare and perhaps up the stats on the artillery mortar to list a new tank mortar. The question occurs that by definition a mortar has a round dropped into its barrel. This isn't possible on the tank variant - it has to be loaded from inside; so its actually a high arc howitzer? We'll see - whatever it shakes out to be, it certainly is an inspiring piece! Here's the stats I use for the Blue Moon German heavy mortar.
17 cm/6" Artillery Mortar (Blue Moons Heavy Minenwefer) Speed 3" Defense 5 Armor 4 Special : Heavy Artillery, 8 crew, requires 8 crew to manhandle or needs a tow to move.
Range 60" +4 Power Barrage 3 Special: Bombardment, Wheeled = Barbette.
I think it works well for their tank mortar.

Good points Morgan. I overlooked the obvious - it isn't a mortar if it's breech loaded, which the S2G tank 'must' be. The gun should be a high arc howitzer as you've suggested but with quite a short range (20"-30" ?).
I ended up not ordering an all-HMG tank. Instead I ordered 3 more Light Transports but each will have a generator from the Tesla tank variant on top and therefore need the Tesla's vertical exhaust pipe. These will be the dedicated towing vehicles for the 1 pdr coil gun conversions, which were assumed to have generating equipment for the gun on board and are required to be parked next to the deployed guns. Now they'll really look like generator equipped tanks.

I hope the Holt tractors are available in the near future, but would like to see the Armored Infantry Carriers sold without infantry even more. I'd like to have 6 AICs for the 2 sets of Amored Infantry I bought from KS backers but can't get them without the infantry and don't need more.

Do you have a US distributor?
Also: while I seriously covet the multi-barrel guns and the Tesla, I am also very interested in a unit of Brits or Yanks (hard to tell them apart in 15mm with "Stovepipe" individual rocket launchers?
Love the stuff.

Love the stuff. At the moment, we don't have a distributor. Very happy to hear that you like the figures, We're trying to create some unique figures. In in a few weeks we will have 2 new units coming out, one for the Brits & the other for Ze Germans! With more releases in the next few months after that, these armies will be quite workable forces. lots of interesting stuff coming up. If you are wanting unique orders, just contact me & we can sort out just what you are after
