Steve, All of us here thank you and Joe for taking the time to make some posts. It's a huge breath of fresh air after the almost total communications black-out during the last year of Robot Peanut Studio. All of us here are willing to help out however we can to make the new venture a success. Scott I agree completely with Scott on this issue

I would like to request some help from someone who is very knowledgeable about this game. We have many pictures (over 50) from the Robot Peanut Studio after it was locked up (after filing for bankruptcy). I need some help figuring out what is there based on the photos. Please shoot me a PM if you think you can help out. I have sent you a PM about the forum and how we can help. You could setup you own photo gallery here aqmf.freeforums.net/board/21/member-photo-galleries and we can comment on the pictures to let you know what them are. There is a sticky on how to add pictures. Thanks

Perhaps someone can direct the mysterious benefactor to this forum? The say they are "Ironclad Games." A quick google search yielded this: www.ironcladgames.com/ They look like a PC Game company. Odd they'd want a miniatures game.

Here's another example of the current buying madness on eBay. There is a Tesla gun up for auction and the current bid is at $355. There are still 7 hours to go. This is just insane. Maybe they think it's real.

True, but consider, too, that command detonated mines require an electric cable from the commander to the mine which has to survive weeks or months of exposure to the elements. I am reminded of the Union naval bombardment of Charleston where the USS New Ironsides anchored directly above a Confederate mine. It had been sitting out there for a while and refused to detonate when the Confederates threw the switch. Also, your command detonated mine needs a commander which has A) survived and B) has a clear line of sight (or communications with someone with a clear line of sight) to know when to throw the switch. Not automatic things to be sure. I'm not saying these ideas won't work, but they are not as easy as they might seem. That's why we roll dice. To abstract the variables.

Glad you like them! I printed them with shapeways but think I am going to try 3dprintuk as they seem to have cheaper prices. They have a minimum order size of £25.00 and so I have been prototyping through shapeways and will print with 3dprintuk once the designs are finalised. Could you put them on Shapeways too so us poor colonials don't have to pay shipping from the UK?

As of morning Mon 18th, it is gone. You better get to Bobe's shop. Next cheapest ones on eBay are $50 and $55. Good luck! I have a copy, it's Joker who's looking for one.

My only concern is that Wright Fliers were advanced technology when the Martians came the second time. Of course, the Wrights, Curtis and Santos-Dumont were all available to design aircraft. Santos Dumont and Count Zeppelin were very busy with Lighter-than-air craft as well. Now, will part 4, autogyros; be a possibility? It will be paramount that the Martians do not recover an intact or even a wrecked flyer of any type. Mars lacked the atmosphere for either LTA or aeroplanes. They will be starting from scratch, and may lack any ability to make their own fliers, unless humanity inadvertently gives it to them. But they already have Hover Drones and early canon suggested that the British were close to cracking the Martian secret of flight. I think the only thing they will be surprised about is that we primitives have figured it out.
