Good call on the various other stores with big post holiday discounts. I too shop all of the three you listed by name - wonderful time for miniature modelers those sales!

I purchased a set of paper terrain from Fat Dragon. When searching for Fat Dragon beware of getting a Chinese restaurant by mistake.
The set includes paper trees which have ledges built into them which can accommodate a metal 25mm miniature. When I get one built I will post a pic. The set also features some interesting looking "hills."
A while ago one of my friends from Milwaukee included a picture on his facebook. In this picture was a terrain feature I made in 2000, out of pink foam. It occurred to me that foam terrain features will last a while on the tabletop and then forever in a landfill. Paper terrain is outrageously functional, provides a great visual, and the paper can be recycled.
Woodland Scenics makes beautiful trees. They just don't travel well. Due to their proclivity to shed green fluff, they have been banned from my FLGS.

Those are the very paper trees I was talking about a while back. It is unfortunate that I can't even afford a low-grade 3D printer, as a lot of Fat Dragons new 3D terrain is very nice.
