Today my packages arrived from the UK and elsewhere containing a MKIV tank, a Martian Harvester tripod, a Slaver tripod, a grenadier tripod, and a Scientist tripod. My problem is that they came in ziplock bags and I have no idea how to put them together, the MKIV and grenadier seem pretty straight forward and I've found plenty of good pictures for guidance, how ever have not had the same luck concerning the slaver, harvester and scientist tripods. Could anyone who has them assembled share some pictures from a few angles to help me out? Thanks in advance.

You'll notice that as originally designed the Royal Scientist did not have a Heat Saw. That's why there aren't enough mounting holes in the model for the 2 tentacles, Heat Ray and Heat Saw. I drilled a 4th hole on the underside of the weapons mount for the Heat Saw but some people have stuck the Heat Ray in a hole in the 'face' to free up a space.

Thanks, for the help quendil, but i could use some other angles like for the scientist and slaver pictures from the rear and opposite side so I know where to place all the attachments, and a low front shot of the harvester for the torso and cables. Thank you again.

Unfortunately they never came with instructions and haven't built all of mine. The slaver only has a couple of things on it

I'll see if I can take more pictures of my harvester a slaver at the weekend. Haven't built scientists yet

Ok thanks, really not in too much of a rush, finals are coming up and I still need to do a lot of work to the models before they will be ready for assembly and painting

Thanks, for the help quendil, but i could use some other angles like for the scientist and slaver pictures from the rear and opposite side so I know where to place all the attachments, and a low front shot of the harvester for the torso and cables. Thank you again. I put the Harvester tentacle with the Reaper Claw in the middle, flanked by the 2 other long tentacles, one of which has the human captive. It doesn't matter if that one is on the left or right. The two short tentacles go on the head to either side of the 'grinder'. I curved the one with the victim up to the head with the short ones reaching for him. Bend the tentacles carefully and slowly! Although the Harvester is supposed to have a Heat Ray most I've seen photos of lack it and I didn't put one on my Harvester. There are only enough weapon mounting holes for the 3 tentacles. Same situation as the Royal Scientist which has 4 weapons/tentacles but only 3 mounting holes. I suppose you could drill a hole in the Harvester's 'face' and put the Heat Ray there, which is what some people have done with the Royal Scientist's Heat Ray. The Slaver is simple to assemble (other than the legs!). The 2 odd looking bits go in the 2 holes at the front of the head. Underneath the section with those holes is a third hole for the single smooth tentacle, but instead of a tentacle the Slaver is supposed to have a Medium Heat Ray. I had a Spare Scout tripod heat ray and installed it there instead of the tentacle. The legs on all of the metal tripods fit loosely in the slots in the body. I didn't have much luck using 5 minute epoxy; thick, gap filling ca glue works fine but only if you use an accelerant spray. I tacked each leg in place, then added more ca a bit at a time, spraying it with accelerant, until the legs were securely attached inside the body. I found it was necessary to mount all of the metal tripods on 1/8" thick styrene bases to prevent the legs bending and being broken off. The metal where they attach to the body is too thin. I glued the tips of each leg in holes drilled into the bases so they are quite sturdy models now.

Hmm I just noted the weird 'horn' on the Slaver, similiar to the ones on the two Scientist type. These have to be some kind of 'antenna' for controlling drones. Or sensors?? Hmmm.

Seeing the marketing photos makes me sad in the feels. I miss receiving my orders from AoW.

An additional question, what size bases should I need for the grenadier, slaver, scientist and harvester tripods? Seeing as the legs look a little week and hearing loyalist's experience I'm going to be going to my local game store sometime this week and they sell plastic bases that I can use for when I finally build my Martians, what size would you all recommend for each of them? I'll also be looking for some thick wire because my slaver, harvester and scientist didn't come with tentacles pieces.

Make sure you buy solid core insulated copper wire. I tried 14 gauge wire but the wire inside was braided and wasn't stiff enough to hold a position. If you have a wire stripping tool that will work really well for cutting grooves in the insulation to represent tentacle segments.
I used the following diameters when making styrene bases for metal tripods:
Grenadier 70mm Reaper 70mm (same legs as Grenadier) Slaver 80mm Harvester 82mm
Scientist - same legs as Slaver Royal Scientist - same legs as Harvester
The standard plastic tripod base is 80mm in diameter.
Depending on how you install the legs on a Harvester or Royal Scientist you might need a larger base. A lot of them I've seen have the legs all akimbo - looks like they're staggering - so they might need a base up to 100mm diameter. I assembled my Harvester with the legs all in contact with the base and close to the body to give more height, very much like the plastic tripods. They were just a tad too wide to fit an 80mm base.
