This week we'll look at pages 114-132 plus errata for the same pages. Please have submissions by Friday, 1 April, which will be the closing date for these.

Just to make sure I understand. This is to clarify the rules as they are. Not to make a case for rule changes or change the stats of units/elements?

These are corrections to the rulebook. Basically obivious wrongs in the actual book. So, if you find a rule thats in error, this is the place. For example, if the range is given differently on a given page vs errata page but both are the same, its obivious that there is supposed to be a difference for the range - but, even the errata didn't correct it. So yes, it is clarify vs change in this case. I understand I might of made this clear. I'm using the another forum members list of how to go about this whole thing. See Pz3 s list of how to go about this under 'Get the Ball Rolling' thrend in this section (Living Rulebook). I found it to be solid and logical, so I went with it. We're almost done with the corrections part, as the rulebook is only 162 pages and a 2 page index. I'm not "correcting" the great looking pictures between page 162 and the index as they're really fun 'hooks' for us to players to drowl on - errr, I mean admire. Say what you may about AD, the pictures throughout the rulebook hooked alot of us into the game after first glance.

Ok. No disagreement from me about how you are doing this. I just wanted to make sure it was straight in my own mind.

Clarification on the Dominator tripod. Does a single weapons critical hit on the tripod damage table affect all the independent weapons or should their be a roll of on what weapon is damaged?

Hmm okay let me look into that one - good point!

The targeting system is whats damaged, so I'd think each weapon would be fired 'independently' per the table. Each weapon is rolled for seperately.

Clarification;
Clarification on drone and lobos page 126 -127. These are classified as infantry units and units of three elements each. Do they have to obey the 2 inch formation distance as specified on page 33?

The formation on page 126 shows a couple of units of drones - those could be 2 or 3". I go with the idea stated in the page 33 rule - "...tripods and machines...as vehicles, e.i. 3". So I'd go with 3" except for Lobototons, which I give as 2" (after all 'human' infantry). Do you think thats reasonable?

I am more inclined with infantry 2 inches because infantry type status also confers infantry movement capabilities and terrain modifiers. Consistency sake.

Thats also a very good point. 2" it is then

Okay mikedski - I went back over the Tesla gun questions you mentioned in ...Verse 3. As its locked, I'll throw these to you here. The Teslas dice attacks is based on what it powered up to when it fire, ei. 1 to 3 dice. That is the number used in every attack it makes, including the 'jumping' ones. So if you fire with 3 dice at the first target and it jumps to a second, it will attack with 3 dice, the third 3 dice, etc. Explains the 350pts a bit doesn't it. The range is rolled for the second target and this determines where the bolt jumps to - in this case the lobototons middle element was in the range rolled - not the closest or fartherest but what the range roll determines. The bolt quits jumping when there's either no targets in range of a given roll (you can't go back to targets that have already been hit or the Tesla tank) or you roll 'dupes' on the damage roll (3x 1s or 3x 2s or 2x 1s etc.). On the first target only, if you roll dupes, the Tesla gun breaks down. Otherwise, it just finishes the jumping for the fire phase. Hopefully with Conquerors new Tesla model, we'll all get to play with this amazing weapon. Braised Martian anyone? Cheers!

After re-reading it I may have just answered my other question. The arc jumps to the nearest ELEMENT as the target. Then I infer if that target (element) is damaged or destroyed then it can jump again based on the next ranging die roll to the next nearest ELEMENT. The diagram on page 95 is incongruent with the actual text in the rule. The closet next element to slaver tripod (original target) is a lobo element almost touching the slaver leg. The arc should be jumping from lobo element to lobo element ( the three lobo elements are almost touching each other) if damage occurs and stops if no target in range or treble rolled for damage. br]

Ah, to the point as always - it does say "the nearest" so the diagram was in error. Good catch - you think that should be 'corrected' also?? I hadn't been doing much about the books pictures up till now.
