Although women characters are well documented in the AQMF rule book and the published stories of AQMF, there seems to be a decided lack of female players in the game itself. Am I wrong?? Is this a hole in the games interest level. I hope not, as at conventions I've been fortunate to meet some very dedicated women gamers (the report on the gal who got the Order of Tesla by destroying almost the entire wing of a Martian advance), not to mention that wonderful husband & wife team that ran some of the best AQMF games I've ever played at Cold Wars, Fall-In, and Historicon. I know that some of you out there play against your wife or daughter - so I'd like to get a little nose count of women we know that are players. I for one can vouch for two. And my wife is always supportive, picking out terrain at hobby stores and the like; but, alas she doesn't play the game. So, here's to all the women out there and may they be counted among the legion of humanity defending our planet against the invaders!
boxholder: I don't know. If this is supposed to be a chat-type thing, I don't see how it gets to that. There does not appear to be any way to tell someone that you are waiting or find someone on line. It takes a fortuitous discovery that both are on-site together.
