ARGH. I can do without the drama. No matter what happens I won’t stop playing the game, but it would be nice to have stable support for the game. And release of the new units promised. And better visibility for the game in the larger community. And... (well you get the idea.)

One hopeful sign that interest in the War of the Worlds may be a bit larger than just us: Dan Verssen Games (DVG) recently released WAR OF THE WORLDS: ENGLAND, a solitaire board game. It is one a a series that includes WOTW:FRANCE, WOTW:JAPAN and WOTW: EASTERN U.S. They are beautifully crafted products. And the card-driven mechanic captures the feel of impersonal, inscrutable, and implacable Martians attacking. Got a link?? yeah terrance, I'm with you on the drama. The games too good to give up on, especially after literally thousands of bucks of investment in it...

Everything on the IG website is listed as 'Out of Stock'. Looks like I missed out on the Goliath, though I was worried about the resin quality after the problems people had with the Overseer, and the Dominator I received that I couldn't get paint to stick to.

I have several unbuilt Tripods of various types.
I plan to do scans of these and keep the STL files. Amatures with cell phones can do this, although I will need to develop the skill set. If ICG, conspicuously silent here, continues their silence I will be printing my own tripods and providing the files to any who wish them. There is plenty of WWI infantry available. Historic vehicles, too. I will be only a little sad for the loss of a few of the vehicles.
If I am told by ICG to fear not, I will continue to be a loyal customer.

Be aware that there are copyright issues here. Until we hear otherwise ICG holds the rights to the tripods and all the other miniatures.

This is truly a sad state of affairs. The game has been well received where ever it has been displayed, especially at conventions. But, we might just be in a very small niche game with no future for a potential buyer. A final test of its appeal will be up coming at Fall In this year - only just a few weeks away (8 Nov - 11 Nov). With no company in house to push sales, and probably no demo because of that, things look pretty grim. Maybe Scott could get his publisher to print some of the Living Rule Book entries as a '2nd edition'?? I remain hopeful in the face of the storm, but, its getting pretty dang 'wet' around here I would be willing, but I'm a slow learner

Crickets chirp
ICG does participate on this forum. Their silence has been deafening.
I'm not going to challenge their copyright, but I am going to prepare for the worst. Just a few years ago 3D scanning was very expensive. Right now it is much less so.

I have been told that the person from ICG that participated in this forum is no longer employed there. So do not make the assumption that they are monitoring this forum from ICG.
I have noticed that the inventory levels at the MM site have changed, so they seem to actively restocking the product etc.

The Ironclad games main user was last on the forum on the 23rd of October which is after this thread started but I think they are the person that no longer works for them.
