@ M Squared: Your right! Didn't pay attention to the timeline for the Martians in regards to the timeline for the Initial Invasion. So I'll recommend that you can plug in what works for everyone based on the 600 Point limit and more importantly, what you have in your collection. @ boxholder: Yeah, the Tennessee map is not exactly based on the maps to allow for game play and having to fit in with the FOW Firestorm parameters but I read your beads. I use Microsoft paint so no prob with what anyone will want to improve on. All the same guys, use what inspires you and leave the rest! Respectfully, Gunny

In regards to the Tennessee map. The movement is based on the counties which are the light gray areas with the same colored names. Circled cities have to be taken also. Each side rolls for battle arrows they can place with the Martians of course, getting a big advantage in the first two turns. Terrain is noted just to affect setup and is only labeled with plains, marsh , mountains/hills, forests , etc. This terrain will be more dominant in that area if a battle is fought. Cities are Railroad hubs for movement, supply, and victory points. Just a quick overview, and it has helped my group use it as a framework for our table top games.
As an aside, just got my river gunboats from Scott Washburn at Paper Terrain and they are excellent! Can't recommend his products enough for the game. Hope you folks will back him in his endeavors both the books and his products. Let's keep pushing the game and the unique niche this game can present to the uninformed. I hope the IG gang still will back this unique product and we can partner with them to bring it to the public's eye! We prey creatures have to stick together! Respectfully, Gunny

Omg Gunny - you've missed your calling if you're not in marketing! I really appreciate your time and efforts on the Tenn. campaign - indeed on all you do. I've still not located my thread/post on the the Martian 'escape' machines, but am still looking. Thanks again for putting such a big smile on an old man's face.

Madmorgan: You are correct that the Martians did not have Green Gas, an AQMF weapon, avaliable immediately after their second landing (per Scott's books and timeline). Martians did have Black SMOKE in HG Wells' book. It was a suffocating agent or inhalation toxin.
Black SMOKE got incorporated as Black DUST in AQMF and its attack was changed to a hybrid with Green Gas in Scott's books. In original War of the Worlds, Black DUST was the product when Black SMOKE was reacted with steam as the Martians decontaminated the area. Wells' Black Dust was not toxic on skin contact, even for people, but was lethal if ingested. Green Gas in AQMF was cited as being corrosive to flesh. Scott's book attributed this corrosive attack to the Black Dust.

Absolutely fantastic. Okay - where do I buy this puppy?! By that I mean - will it be possible to buy a finished copy from you?? Please don't got to distributors for the many reasons I've sited before on this forum. You have you're buying customers right here and I'm sure once you've done with the forum sales, you can move on to the miniatures crowd on Facebook. I say all of this because I've yet to be able to print any images off of this site (or really any due a peculiar problem in my household net). Really looks like fun.

I really like this. It's a play on: It takes 20 days to build a tank It takes 20 months to build a ship It takes 20 years to build a tanker or a sailor.
Buds on training missions, yes yes. Missions centered on the capture?rescue of Martians, yes, yes.

Fellow AQotMF'ers, These are the Strategic Invasion! cards for the Invasion! game. Rules for the game are being done now. I will briefly give u the rules for these, though. There are 16 event cards and 8 no event cards in the deck. The game has 12 turns so a card is drawn at the beginning of each turn. To adjust the deck. I am looking at 4 no event cards in the mix plus randomly draw 8 additional cards from a deck that has the 16 actual event cards, facedown. This gives u a deck of 8 events and 4 no event cards. I gave u additional no event cards in case you want to nerf the event deck further. No secret draws are taken, just follow the directions on the card for that turn. Again, if using please give me credit but do with the cards as you wish for your games. Please note there is no counter for Patton and his forces. Just use some convenient marker or whatever to mark his presence. Don't think he would care that the Martians knew where he was anyway! Respectfully, Gunny
