G’day all and welcome back to the Slave Dungeon, Today we see the release of a new range of figures, well at least a new scale. We are releasing a few 6mm Vehicles and are starting with the Australian HAWKEI LIGHT PROTECTED MOBILITY VEHICLE. This figure came about after a local gamer contacted us and requested whether we might make this for him. This figure has been beautifully sculpted by the talented Mike Broadbent and we will be selling them in packs of five vehicles for AU$15 I thought you might also like to see these figures in scale with its 28mm counterpart. Enjoy Here our Links: 6mm Hawkei linkAnd our Email: slavemaster@slave2gaming.com

They look good, too small for my eyes unfortunately. Just sold the last of my Epic stuff as can't paint that small anymore

I need to get some new lights for my new painting room, well that's me trying to tell myself that I'm not old...

Gads, great stuff - I still have a Huge collection of Epic 40k and would love to add some of these to the collection. Wish I'd known you were selling Epic Q. With 'proper' additions, they'd work for Orks too! Thanks, I'm hoping to get an order out to S2G in August, and I'll be picking at least a pack of these up. Cost at site I assume (yeah I know). When my honey saw me trying to paint some Epic figures, she got me these cool goggle, kinda like jewelers wear, with lights and eye piece magnifiers

I am sorry - there's nothing quite like the scale of 6mm to put armies or at least full regiments (grip about the term "regiment" in Games Workshop stuff) on the table. I won't even mention the wonderous siege of New Orleans presented in 2mm at a Historicon one year. Every building, ship, and ground force represented !

6mm is already very full of modern product, so we dont want to just do the same thing.
Having said that, there is also some new Dark World War being sculpted at the moment! Exciting stuff!

Yes exciting ref Dark World. As to 6mm, there's a company I've bought tons of product from doing Fantasy (which matches the GW Warhammer stuff, but with some other types of factions (Rhinomen, Elephantmen, various Apemen (gorilla etc) fun stuff. He's also doing Mad Max in 6mm as well as some futuristic things. I think GHQ has WW2 pretty locked up. Don't suppose you'd consider any Orks,Elves,Dwarrows, etc - with proper name changes...

Could very well do. Both Mike & I loved the idea of Chronopia on epic scale when it was talked about years ago, so I don't think it would be too hard to move towards that.

Ahhh Chronopia was one of my favorite games of all time! And its companion - which name escapes atm. Great background, great figures, fun system. I still have a bunch of painted up figures that me & my gaming buddies played with as well as using them for D&D figures (monsters). Goblin ostrich riders, the awesome collection of clans of the Dwarves (never did get a Shadow Dwarf ), the three special Elf clans with a seperate dark drug using dark clan, the Lizardmen figures, including the Starved! The Humans were like wised divided into three different clans as well as the usual dark/chaos sided faction. All those special sets as well. I also got the larger figures, like the Dwarf Tuskers Beast (huge & vicious!). I picked up some of the scifi game figures as well - the flying demons, the creepy little kid-like figures with slings. The scifi game was based on corporations from different countries (USA, Brits, Germans, Japanese, etc) with a couple of very cool non-corporate factions. One was the 'dark side', Demon invaders and another was the hypertech church that opposed the demons. Good stuff - some out there please help me with the name of the scifi game! I still have the catalogs and use the figures from Chronopia for special D&D games. All in all great stuff - a 6 mm of that would be wonderful, especially if you could locate the British owners of the rights for the books and do a full on reproduction of the game! Wow - I do like those game eh?

After a couple of very tough weeks I am at last getting my painting table close to being able to paint again.
I love 5mm scale, but I feel it is enough to paint troopers with one color for their uniform, then do hands and face in Flesh, guns and boots in brown. I use a 20-O, as in twenty Os, size brush for these. I have an articulated lamp with a 5-power magnifier built into it to work under.
I didn't need any of that when I was 30.

Getting old is certainly the better of two alternatives.
