The Whippet tank can be found in a few units of the BEF and much more in some of the local state militia and sold to Russia. The use of a 'machinegun' tank has proven a bonus for stopping Lobototon and Drone formations and when the Cardigan carrier with it surplus of weapons or the USA MkIIIsupport tank isn't available, the cheaper Whippet is found. Besides being poorly armored and low crewed, its fast and can really give some support. As with all British built tanks, theirs is equipped with radios.
Whippet Tank: 1 element @50pts Spd 8" Def 5 Arm 6 Spec: 3 crew, no turret, mgs face one per arc (front, rear, both sides); special movement. (4) HMG Rng 20" +1Pow RF2 Spec: Hotchkiss mg for RF; only 3 mgs can fire per phase, as theres only 3 crew! On occasion, a 4th crew member was added - you may allow this with a +5pts (ei @55pts per tank). Normal crew is commander, driver, gunner. With fourth, add another gunner. Comments: This little tank (tankette) is available from Old Glory under the Blue Moon WW1 British line. Three of these are almost as good as the MkIIIsupport for less cost with only the angle restrictions. Remember its 90 degrees per arc so some overlap (like turret/sponson tanks). I think you'll find this fun & a nice addition to any state militia wanting an infantry support tank. Enjoy!

Have you hacked my PC by any chance??? Whippets are in the BEF 1915. But you forgot HEAP ammo for that extra killy action against Martian infantry. Seriously though, that's almost exactly the same as what I've got in the BEF '15. If you've not played with them yet, do so, they perform well for their price, little weak against sweep attacks so be warned. Anyone interested in adding some of these an alternative model to use is the Emhar 1/72 plastic kit which is what I'm using, they cost about the same as Blue Moon's metal model.

Nah, just we think alike and probably source info similiar (Wiki is good). Conversion is very easy once you come up with some sort of formula based on the rulebooks description. Example is the one on page 92 of the MkIIMA - all the various steamers have an italic description which can be used to get a basis for working up stats from various IRL tanks. Rule of thumb is Armor is one less on artillery for example. In anycase, we are just on the 'same page' in our vision to some degree is all. And no, the Whippet doesn't have M2HMGs (ei 50cal) for a +2 Power.
